I specialised in Dress and Design at Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh. In 2004 I retired early from teaching after 17 years as a Principal Teacher of Home Economics. If you commission your own wedding gown it will be a ‘one-off’ design which will never be repeated, it is based exactly on your own measurements and your gown will be handcrafted using couture techniques to give a higher quality of finish. Although ready made Gowns are convenient, they are reproduced many times, often use quick construction methods and may not have the design features you require.
The creation of your wedding gown will take time, so you should allow at least six months before the date of your wedding. While designing wedding gowns is my main activity, I can also make gowns for your bridesmaids and flower girls.
Every bride wants their wedding day to be special and unique. I can supply a range of gifts and favours personalised for you.
